Quartz & Granite

Quartz

Engineered material popular for its durability, Quartz is known for durability comparable to Granite and is a low maintenance solid surface option ideal for high traffic locations due to its non-porous nature. Patterning and colors are easy to predict in Quartz which makes designing with it nearly effortless.

Granite

A natural stone that is a popular choice for kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, bar tops and fireplace surrounds. When sealed & maintained properly, Granite provides a durable worksurface that is able to withstand daily use. Granite can be susceptible to chipping or cracking when heavy objects come in forceful contact with the material. Due to its natural nature, Granite patterning and coloring varies and can be difficult to predict, therefore, hand selection is highly recommended.

How to care for your stone:

Quartz

The day-to-day care of your Quartz countertop should consist of wiping down the surface using a mild soap and wet cloth. Deeper cleans using a nonabrasive surface cleaner and a non-scratching sponge should be done at regular intervals. Resealing is not needed.

Granite

Like Quartz, Granite should be cleaned daily with mild soap and a soft, wet cloth, with the surface being towel dried completely. While some granite tops can go without being sealed for up to 10 years with little to no signs of wear, we recommend they be sealed bi-annually to avoid signs of staining or discoloration from food and temperate changes.
